Presidential election, Abdixhiku meets with Osmani and Kurti
The candidate of LVV for PM of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and candidate for President, Vjosa Osmani will be meeting with the newly appointed leader of LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku to consult over the establishment of new government institutions.
The meeting is expected to commence at 14:30 in the parliament building.
The official stance held by Abdixhiku is still unknown, whether the LDK will participate in the voting process to elect Vjosa Osmani as president, even though previously Abdixhiku has requested a president outside of the political world.
As of now, the position of the PDK and AAK are clear and they are not only against the election of Vjosa Osmani for president, but they’re also against the quorum.
On the other hand, LVV (Self-determination movement) has started discussions on the names of the new administrative cabinet.
The vice-Chairperson of the Parliament of Kosovo, Arbërie Nagavci confirmed for Euronews Albania that Glauk Konjufca will be the new Chairman of the Kosovar Parliament.
In addition, Besnik Bislimi will be vice-PM, Donika Gërvalla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, Minister of Internal Affairs, Albulena Haxhia, Minister of Justice, Rozeta Hajdari Minister of Trade and Industry, Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Education and Science, Hajrullah Ceku Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Faton Peci, Minister of Agriculture and Liburn Aliu, Minister of the Economy and Environment.
Two ministers will be elected from the Serbian minorities and one from the other minorities.
