Ranked 2nd in Tirana’s list for the SMI (Socialist Movement for Integration), Erisa Xhixho has started her campaign in the 2nd administrative division of the capital city.

Meeting with residents and businesses in Tirana is a daily task for the former vice-Minister of Integration, who is presenting her political subject’s program.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, the candidate for MP talks about the problems facing citizens' day-to-day lives.

“The conditions are dire. It is without a doubt that the pandemic crisis has brought to light the lack of clear economic policies. The most desperate fact is their hope to leave the country, in order to find a better future for themselves, somewhere else”, said Xhixho.

According to Erisa Xhixho, even though the circumstances aren’t appropriate for the organization of a normal campaign, the situation has helped them come together with citizens in smaller groups.

“It is a campaign, which has taken us from home to home, business to business, although we also miss the campaigns, we used to undertake in the past,” she added.

Because the political force she represents is supported by the youth, Xhixho stated that this category is also part of their 5-step program.

“Education is linked to employment. We should orient our youth towards fields, which can provide them with employment and dignified salaries, from the first moment they become part of the job market,” stated the former-MP of the SP.

In the list of Tirana, Erisa Xhixho is ranked second, after Monika Kryemadhi. Xhixho sees this as a great responsibility that has been entrusted to her.

“I believe this is a privilege and a great responsibility for me, in terms of meeting my goals and objectives,” concluded Xhixho.
