The Central Election Commission has called on political parties and institutions to show prudence with the publication of their commercials and posters by conforming strictly with the rules.

According to CEC, respecting the rules until election day will have an influence on the standards of the elections.

The State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, through various official documentation sent to party leaders, demanded that they do not use public sources in the electoral campaign, set to launch officially on Thursday.

Celibashi recalled that there will be penalties in cases of violation of the Electoral Code.

“Taking in consideration the first reports deposited by observers, CEC appeals on all the directors of public institutions to show self-restraint and fulfill their obligations as per the Electoral Code”, wrote Celibashi in the letter also sent to municipalities, which included guidelines on posting informative material during the elections.
